Manuka Honey & Soy Glazed Regal Salmon with Ponzu Sauce
Ingredients
- 8 oz Regal Double Maple Hot Smoked Salmon
- 1 bunch bok choy, or other Asian greens
- 1-2 Tbsp black sesame seeds
Honey Soy Glaze:
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 Tbsp soy sauce
Ponzu Sauce:
- 4 Tbsp Japanese soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp fish sauce
- 2 limes, juice of
- 1 Tbsp mirin
Method
Combine the honey and soy sauce to create the glaze, marinate salmon and set aside for 15 minutes.
Preheat oven to 180°C. Line a baking tray with baking paper. Place salmon on the tray and cover with baking paper. Place tray in oven and cook for 5 minutes, uncover and broil for further 5 minutes or until cooked to your liking. Remove from oven and allow to rest for 3 minutes.
Mix together the soy sauce, fish sauce, lime juice and mirin. Alternatively use pre-made Ponzu sauce for flavouring. Steam the boy choy or other Asian greens.
Serve the salmon with the steamed greens, rice, and ponzu sauce. Finish with a sprinkle of sesame seeds.
