Regal King Salmon is a brand of The New Zealand King Salmon Co. Limited (NZ King Salmon, we, us or our).
We recognise the importance of protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store and protect personal information through the Regal King Salmon website and our related consumer research activities.
We handle personal information in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and its Information Privacy Principles.
- Personal information we collect
You may browse most parts of our website without actively providing your name or contact details. However, we may still collect technical information about your visit.
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

- join or participate in our Consumer Panel.

- from Q&A Research or another Consumer Panel or research provider;

- Consumer Panel
If you join our Consumer Panel, NZ King Salmon and its Consumer Panel partner, Q&A Research, may collect and use the information you provide to:
- administer the Consumer Panel;
- conduct surveys and consumer research;
- understand consumer preferences;
- assess and improve our products and communications; and
- contact you about Consumer Panel activities.
Q&A Research may use your information only to provide Consumer Panel and research services to us, subject to its legal and contractual obligations.
Participation is voluntary. You may withdraw from the Consumer Panel at any time by following the withdrawal instructions provided or contacting us.
- Marketing communications
If you subscribe or otherwise agree to receive marketing communications, we may send you information about Regal King Salmon and other NZ King Salmon brands or products.
You can unsubscribe at any time by:
- selecting the unsubscribe link in an email; or
- emailing webcontrol@kingsalmon.co.nz.
We may retain limited information needed to record and comply with your unsubscribe request.
- Disclosure of personal information
We do not sell personal information.
We may disclose personal information to:
- other companies within the NZ King Salmon group;
- Q&A Research or another provider administering our Consumer Panel or research activities;

- a purchaser or potential purchaser of all or part of our business or assets; or
- another person where you have authorised the disclosure.
